Final front cover image
After narrowing down the photographs I had of Neave and Eden I have decided to use Eden as my main model. The photos of Eden reflect my character of ‘Juniper Grey’ more than the photos of Neave.
This is the photograph of Eden I have used for my cover:
I have decided to use this photo as I feel it plays on the
princess theme I am trying to replicate from the Lana Del Rey double page
spread I analysed. I used the flower to imitate the floral theme that she
frequently uses in her photo shoots. The
daffodil used in the shot conducts an earthy, nature theme while at the
same time constructs a feminine and pretty image. The flower is aimed to
signature nature and the natural things in life to portray to the audience that
even though Juniper is globally famous and has her head in the clouds, she is
not losing touch with the smaller things in life that are often taken for
granted. Showing the sense that the music industry will not change her and she
will still remain the same girl she always has been. As well as this the yellow
signifies happiness and because it is a bright colour it ties in with having a
bright future, the yellow daffodil was the best flower of choice for my image
specifically for this reason.
